Critical path and critical chain compared

Many people in project delivery will be familiar with Critical Path Analysis (CPA) but less familiar with Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM).  In this video, we asked Marvin AI to briefly explain the similarities and differences between the two.

If you would like to know more about these two techniques, you can ask Marvin for more information about any aspect. Suggested further questions are:

  • "What type of buffers are used in Critical Chain?"
  • "What behavioural aspects does Critical Chain address", and
  • "How can resources be scheduled as part of a Critical Path Analysis".

Selected further resources within Praxis Framework are:

Article Sensitivity analysis in resource scheduling (for Critical Path Analysis)
Article Critical Chain - a detailed explanation
