A capability maturity assessment is often seen as something done once or twice a year to check on how the organisation is performing and to improve the delivery of projects and programmes.
A lot can happen between assessments, including a loss of focus on the things that need to be done to make project and programme delivery more effective and efficient.
The new capability maturity tool from Praxis Framework brings together capability maturity assessment, best practice checklists and a 360 degree approach to provide a comprehensive, real-time for improving the delivery of projects and programmes.
The tool is fully integrated with Praxis - the free, open-source framework for managing projects, programmes and portfolios. You can try out the assessment tool for individual topics as a guest or register to produce a complete assessment for a project, programme or portfolio.
Since the structure of Praxis is consistent with the APM Body of Knowledge and PRINCE2®, the assessment tool also helps to assess performance against the principles embedded in both of these well-established guides.
The assessment questionnaires can be used individually as simple checklists of good practice or together as part of a 360 degree assessment of capability maturity consistent with the CMMI® approach, involving managers, team members and stakeholders.
