January has been a significant month in the development of the Praxis Framework. Early in the month we collaborated on a pilot project using the Capability Maturity model. This will help us refine the Capability Maturity Self-Assessment tool that is due to be launched in May.
Translation activity stepped up a gear with more volunteers joining our ranks. We have created a new translations page that will keep you up to date with progress.
But the main event was the launch of the Praxis Framework book by the Association for Project Management (APM). This covers the four core sections of the framework: knowledge, method, competence and capability maturity. Despite all of these being available on the web, many of us still like to reference physical books. Thanks to the APM this is now possible.
The Praxis Framework book is available at a discounted price of £41.76. Just imagine how much it would cost to buy the equivalent set of guidance from Axelos or the PMI!
Our new home page provides direct links to these new pages and also to our partners at PROJECT in a Box who offer free Praxis-compatible document management and scheduling tools.
