The purpose of this competency is to achieve the goals of the closure process, i.e. to:
- close a project or programme that has delivered all its outputs;
- close a project or programme that is no longer justifiable.
Performance criteria You must be able to: |
| A project or programme is often closed when all the specified outputs have been produced. That does not necessarily mean that the business case has been achieved so this competency covers not only the handover of products but also of responsibility for whatever comes after the project or programme has been closed. The competency should therefore be tailored to reflect whether the project or programme team is responsible for planning follow-on work and handing over responsibility for implementing these plans. |
